Taxation Information
The 48 luxury turn-key holiday houses at Waterford Castle Lodges, The Island, Waterford, all qualify for capital allowances in respect of qualifying expenditure provided certain conditions are met. This can mean that up to €703,000 of taxable rental income (Irish) can be sheltered, resulting in a tax saving of up to €326,895 to the purchaser. See the investment proposal example opposite. The Castle Gardens holiday home development will be fully completed by October 2007 and the holiday homes will be registered with Bord Failte for letting to holiday makers.
